Re: FN-FORUM: Help - MS Vista problems

PS I really really don't want to get into a "Your OS sucks" discussion, but I
was interested in your POV because you (unlike many) clearly have the
experience on which to base it.

I'm totally sold on virtualisation.
I have a XP virtual machine and a linux virtual machine running on my
Vista host which pretty much meets all my needs.
VMWare is now really good - I can share my USB devices on my host with
my virtual machines, and it even supports Direct3D on the guest(!). Plus
it can run in the background.
Although my servers all run linux, some of my customers use windows - so
to develop for them previously I had to have IIS, MSSQL server etc
runnning on my desktop - nightmare! Now I have all that in a VM I can
self-contain and stop and start as I need to. It leaves my desktop much
cleaner and a fair bit quicker!
