RE: FN-FORUM: .nl domain names
date posted 30th April 2007 23:36
Hi Lorna,
I am sorry - I have come in late on this, as I have been out all day.=20
I have been doing a little research; have you checked out Network =
Solutions?
Their domain name pricing page is at
http://www.networksolutions.com/domain-name-registration/pricing-chart.js=
p -
granted, it is a US-based website; would you be OK with this? If you =
are,
and *if* I have read their page correctly, it says that .de domains can =
be
registered through them for $20 a year...? They don't do .nl domains;
EuropeRegistry do this one - they charge 49 euros a year (see
http://www.europeregistry.com/domains/domains-nl.htm); this is about =
=A330-35.
I think there is still a requirement to have a Dutch address; another =
source
is UniNames, http://www.uninames.net/index.php/domainnames/en/nl/, where
they will automatically use their own name as a contact address if a
registrant is not from Holland (or does not have a Dutch address). The
annual price is 29 Euros (about =A320) - it is 44 and 75 Euros =
respectively
for 2 years and 3 years.
Hope this helps - I think most, if not all three of these will allow you
register DNS, etc separately, should you wish to move them. I have never
used any of these, so cannot vouch for them - I'd be interested to find =
out
how you get on...
HTH,
Alex.
