RE: FN-FORUM: Vector Map of UK & Ireland

If you read the Google API licence it isn't as straight forward as that. =
It
can be used on a commercial website as long as there is unrestricted =
free
access to the map (unrestricted - anyone can view it, free - no charge =
for
the service). When it comes to map content it is unclear, if the map
content has IPR issues by placing it onto the Google Map free API I =
think
you are relinquishing the IPR to some extent, probably easier to talk to
someone at Creative Commons on this issue.

SO I suppose in essence, you can use it anywhere as long as anyone can =
use
it until such time as Google turn it of. It is free and part of the =
licence
is that they have the right to turn it off at any time. But with 30,000
Google Map developers why would they? I've built many google map
implementations using both the free API and the Enterprise commercial
version and as yet I don't seem to have broken the licence. =A37,000 =
for
1,000,000 Google Map API Calls?

As far as I'm aware google offers their Google Maps API for free for=20
non-commercial sites.
