Interestingly the Google Maps map images for the UK are taken from
TeleAtlas, which is in turn derived from OS data...
Google have a license from OS, and I suppose the Maps API on my site uses
that license to display the data publicly. So perhaps people using Google
Maps to trace routes, e.g. GMaps Pedometer, Bikely, etc. are also breaking
OS copyright by publishing those routes (as they are derivative works of
OS data)...
What fun!
