I work from home and I welcome a bit of debate on non work related subjects=
,
or are your conversations limited to work related topics as well - I
certainly don=B9t see what harm it does and if you are not interested, don't
look at it.
I personally agree with Lee's comments, as difficult as this must be for th=
e
girls parents, I personally cannot stand this overly mawkish sentamentality
that the british press force onto everyone, as if we all have to 'do our
bit' as if wearing yellow ribbons is going to make any difference.
There are some sick people around, and these things happen as horrible as i=
t
is, but the press have a field day over it - beautiful little white middle
class girl abducted in a foreign land, if they cant blame some greasy
foreigner for it - they will blame the greasy foreign police for screwing i=
t
all up, all of which time they will have countless editorials from muppets
like Richard Littlejohn and Jon Gaunt about castrating peados and dying
their hair blue. And predictably, every newspaper comes up with a 'save
maddie campaign' gets some celebs to endorse it and congratulate themselves
for 'giving something back to the community'.During which time countless
kids go missing on the streets of Brazil, kids dye in Africa and the
journalist could not give a toss because it does not sell papers.
I hope like everyone else, that the girl is returned and that the family ca=
n
cope with however this turns out. And leave it at that
