I know what it means, but I haven't edited or even looked at header.php

Hey, this means you've included a header file with session_start(); in it
and you've included it either after outputting html or eching something hope

There's a fantastic JS library that's called /ie7/ (alas, now
practically impossible for which to search) which I think provides CSS
transparency on tiling images. Try that?
