RE: FN-FORUM: Site check please

date posted 27th May 2007 11:54

James

Morning, just about to go and relax.

Yes when the contact form went in (from my old version) I realised I failed
that bit, as with the inline styles (that is the footer) which also came
from the old site.

Just dropped it in with the time I have available.

The menu point, yes a will be better, but again it is testing.

All feedback welcome.

Had a fiddle this morning maybe I will get time later to redo some more.

Had a look at yours, nice. :)

Best regards,

Dave

Your right it does validate however there are still a couple of things that
could be improved. For example i notice that your still using tables on your

contact form, in my opinion tables should be used for their purpose,
presenting data in a tabular form, not for layouts.

Each menu item is also in its own div which although works, it would bemore
logical to have the menu in an unordered list, afterall thats what it is.

You also use the and tags which although validate correctly should
really be replaced by and tags. The difference is that the
latter are 'relative' as opposed to physical and will work better with
screen readers. I believe these tags have also been depreciated.

Some of your divs have inline styles and the others have classes... why is
this? would it not be better to include all your styles in one file if
possible?

Sorry if that sounds picky but hopefully it should help you

Regards,

James
