CSS/XHTML/AJAX/PHP/mySQL

You've already said it would be quicker doing it that way and
personally, while I love flash, it has its place and I don't feel this
is it. Going with CSS et al should make things more manageable and
easier to update in future and will remove any issues with the target
audience being 'older' and not web-savvy enough to deal with things
popping up telling them to install flash player (don't know what to do
- leave site - sale lost). So long as you deal with the back button
and bookmark issues AJAX introduces, I feel its the much more sensible
route.
