I can't speak for moneysupermarket.com, but I did the original gas and
electricity price comparasion engine for Scottish and Southern Energy. We
paid a research company to provide the details on a monthly basis (gas and
electricity prices are not that volatile), in CVS format, and we uploaded
them into the egine database.
