RE: FN-FORUM: Transferring domain names

You will indeed need to change the name servers to point to the ones of your
new webspace providers.
The IPS tag belongs to the domain, so unless you are also registering the
domain with the new company it should stay the same.

Subject: FN-FORUM: Transferring domain names
Someone is asking me how to do this - I did it once years ago and it was a
pain
They have bought a new webspace
The old one is 123-reg
I am under the impression if they log into the 123-reg control panel, they
can modify the domain so that it points to the new webspace
I found an article saying that this is done by changing the IPS tag - but do
you also need to alter the nameservers ?
thanks
