It was adding a few features to a wordpress installation. So i thought
it would be a nice self contained project. His rates amounted to £290 a
day. Which was for php dev with mysql. A smidgin of html/css. (Talking
lists and the styling of.)

Maybe i am looking at it from how long it took me and how "easy" it
appears for start ups. In that they can come to people like me which a
set of repeat work clients and get work which i dont have time to do. I
am quite possibly being grumpy at the idea of it being easy for others
and that they should appreciate the work involved in getting this far. I
can see it from both sides, maybe i would feel better if i knew they
suffered many many late nights and weekends working for next to nothing. :D

I cant go with him on this particular bit of work. The client is an old
one therefore i work for a much reduced rate since the work generally
tends to be small and i kinda like them as clients/friends so have never
charged them full rates.
