Whereas I do not know your sister, I have to agree with Mike that by and
large the legal profession are despicable social parasites intent at lining
their pockets by promoting misery for the very customers who's interests they
are supposed to be protecting. If they 'graduate' to become judges they
are just as bad - passing deceptive judgements to fit in with their prejudices.
Over the last decade I have done much work with FNF (Families Need Fathers),
dads like myself who have got divorced and who try to stay in touch with their
kids -- very much an uphill struggle.
I have seen (in my case and many others) perverse judgements; I have seen solicitors
wind up the parties so that litigation goes on a bit longer -- earning more
fees. I have seen solicitors engage in useless correspondence -- each letter
sent earns a fee.
On Monday we had a new visitor to our meeting, he came along since he was starting
to run out of money. His blood suckers had extracted almost #100k from him in
some 9 months... and he still wasn't seeing his kids - a recent hearing went part
heard; there was a CAFCASS report recommending lots of contact -- but his barrister
did not ask for an interim order ... something incredibly basic! The barrister
doesn't care, he will get his fee -- what else matters to him ?

Good on you.
