Re: FN-FORUM: Creating a Web Developer organisation

date posted 13th August 2007 12:11

Hi Guys,

I mentioned the Web Developer Institute a little while ago. It's the way
forward, to protect ourselves and to introduce some form of quality control
here in the UK.

Personally, I believe it should be open to anyone who touches the internet,
including; Content Providers; SEO Gurus; Webmasters and; Web Developers.
This is because they all help shape the internet and all change the way it
works in one way or another. Therefore they should come under the quality
umbrella.

I'm not saying that we're necessarily the best people to do the job.
However, I do believe that we have a large enough audience to debate certain
subjects and from those discussions be able to put in place some kind of
framework.

Other areas that we could discuss are:

-General running a business
-ITIL service management
-Winning clients
-PRINCE II project management.

There's probably more that I've missed out, but hey I'm no expert!

I totally agree with Richard with the google forum, however I still think we
should echo some subjects within this forum, to keep peoples taste buds
active.

Neil.
