Try this, it is used extensively for multiple choice questions, assesment, scoring etc.
Far exceeds Director etc. http://www.toolbook.com/ Very straightforward to use but once yo uget into it the sky is the limit.
I used it when I was a lecturer to author several systems for ITE (innovative Technologies for Education) and was very impressed with it.
