RE: FN-FORUM: BT Blocking emails who's registration details don't match

date posted 22nd August 2007 13:07

Basically I also manage the renewals so there all under me and come off
my credit card - otherwise clients forget which credit card they used,
ignore the email or forget to act on the renewal reminders, etc...

Plus it makes the registration process much easier as I just log in and
order new domains rather then having to enter of the registration
details again.

Get a decent business ISP...?

But shouldn't you be the admin/technical contact and the client be the
domain owner?

Subject: FN-FORUM: BT Blocking emails who's registration details don't
match

Hi,

A customer of mine has just called me and said his emails are being
block by his ISP (BT) because the registration details for his domain
name don't match his details with them.

The domain name is in my name as I look after it, as are most of my
customers, and therefore are registered to my address and name not his -
so BT have blocked his outgoing emails as part of some spam prevention
method.

Anyone know more about this and if you can get round it other then
changing the details?

Kind regards

Ashley Harvey
