FN-FORUM: External hard drive - how to stop "spin-down"?

Hi,

I am trying to disable idle feature on my external Seagate hard drive.
I asked Seagate for help, they don't have any tools/software/firmware
to fix this. I also tried to Google for something, no luck. Hard drive
is connected via USB to a laptop.

Does anybody know about software that can access hard drive at regular
intervals, say ever 3 mins, to prevent hard drive spinning down? It
really annoys me...
