Subject: FN-FORUM: Very simple php help sought
Hi folks, just wondering if some kind soul could help me out, a friend of
mine - no seriously, she is a friend and its not the old hypothetical
situation! uploaded some files to her server, without downloading the files
from the server first, so shes over-written all the php code that was in
existence to allow for pdf files to be downloaded from the site!
In a panic she asked me to have a look and see if I can fix it, but it out
of my league but I said I'd see what I could do.
I've got access to the db so I know the field names, I know the connection
details - sorry should have said php/MySQL solution, I created a simple
script which connected to the db and listed the files, but that's as far as
I get - I've googled away and yes I know there are thousands of sites giving
details on how to do it, but I cannot decipher what bits I need to change to
suit this particular setup.
The only fields in the db are id, file_name, file_filename
The pdf files are in a folder /downloads/
Can someone spare a few minutes to either show me where I'm going wrong or
sort it out for me I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks in advance
Allan
