Is it around 5 minutes it spins down. If so it is the usb root hub doing
this.

Hi,
The hard drive seems to be Seagate, this is what SeaTools reports -
ST3320820A.
As I wrote before, I received reply from Seagate re this and they =
confirmed
that they do not have software or firmware to avoid spinning down of the
above hard drive. They recommended that I search on Google for 3rd party
software.
I can assure you that this drive doesn't wait one hour until it spins =
down,
it is just few minutes.
