could be some sort of virus or spyware, especially if the xp is ok.
is all that kind of protection up to date? thats what it sounds like
anyway, i don't think virgin are correct in what they say about it
being ME, apart from virus or spyware, it isn't supported anymore, it
should still continue from the last updates until it stopped being
supported.
