Did you give your new MDBDATA directory/ies these permissions:
Administrators: Full Control
Authenticated Users: Read and Execute, List Folder Contents, Read
Creator Owner: None
Server Operators: Modify, Read and Execute, List Folder Contents, Read,
Write
System: Full Control
Did you check that the root of the new drive has System: Full Control?
(It usually does, but check)
Did you delete the old folders? If so, you must change/create a Working
directory value in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\Parame
ters\System to point to the new store path
The SMTP service is not the store and is not your internal mail. The
error mentions MAPI and RPC, so you probably have an RPC problem. Do you
have all the other Exchange services running (except MTA stacks which
SBS doesn't use)? What happens if you stop and start the store in System
Manager? Any errors?
Do dcdiag and netdiag throw up any errors?
Try KB 296765 (adding service entries to
HKEY_LOCAL_HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\InetInfo
\Parameters\DispatchEntries)
Also try stopping and starting RRAS (and maybe running through CEICW
again)
SBS Exchange is just Exchange standard. I always put the store on a
different drive from the logs.
