I disagree.
Internet Explorer is the most widely used browser, but it doesn't
adhere to standards.
saying it's okay not to validate just because lots of big sites don't
is not a forward thinking standards advocating web professional way
of thinking.

you're either for standards or not. if you are *for* then you
validate your code against those standards.
