RE: FN-FORUM: Prosperity4

date posted 24th September 2007 11:32

for the love of god please do not use Prosperity 4.

Use Orange Genie / Genie World.

Ive been using them for nearly 5 years and they are 100% reliable and on the ball.

I tried prosperity 4 for one project and they took 6 months to pay me.

They kept my P45 3 months longer than the legal limit.

they are so bad that some employers refuse to use contractors who are with prosperity 4.

apparantly they have recently gone bust also ... or are in the process of closing down or something.

do yourself a big favour mate and avoid them like the plague. theres nothing like working hard all month to find you are not getting paid !

Hi,

Im new to the whole self-employed thing... What is Prosperity4 & does
anybody use / recommend them?

Subject: RE: FN-FORUM: Opinions on W3C validator

The answer to this question is not if YOU are for validation necessarily,
it's more are your clients for validation or not, the fact is more a more
clients are asking for W3C validated sites, heard it is a good thing and so
want it.

These days I just bang "W3C valid code" on all quotes even though I know in
most cases the client has no idea what it actually means and that in most
cases the site won't be W3C compliant.

Problem is 90% of my sites are CMS driven and so validating code on user
generated content is more or less impossible so I end up explaining to the
customer that the CMS template is W3C compliant but their content isn't and
it is not possible to have a W3C valid site if they also want a WYSIWYG CMS
editor. It's also a good way to up sell my content mark-up services. :)
