Basically, umbrella companies mean you're an employee of that company, =20
rather than having to do everything through your own limited company, =20
along with all the hassle with tax, insurance, VAT, NI , Companies =20
House etc.
Using an umbrella company, you submit your timesheet/invoice through =20
the umbrella company, who then invoice the end client. The client pays =20
umbrella company, who deduct tax, NI, etc., and then pay you the end =20
amount.
In addition, you get expenses paid back through the umbrella company, =20
rather than saving all your receipts 'til tax return time, and then =20
going through everything and hoping you've got it right.
That's a pretty basic summing up, but it covers the main points, I think.
Me.
