I agree with Gary!
Its like Health & Fitness! You can be one without the other, but ideally =
you
should have both together.
Usability is the fit for purpose status of a item. It scares me that a
'proffessional' is asking for a definition. I suggest you go read about =
a
guy called Jakob Nielsen.

Take one fully standards compliant accessible web site currently used by =
office based sales staff. Everything is working perfectly and has been =

Since the application (without changes) has no facility for them to =

their local database changes with the main sales database, when they =

to the office, the web app they are using is standards compliant and=20
accessible but is of no use to them whatsoever and so fails usability.
