Re: FN-FORUM: Opinions on W3C validator
date posted 24th September 2007 14:31
I thought the point we were debating was whether w3C compliance was
generally prefered. Uesability is a side issue with regards to the job in
hand. In the current debate, useability is not anywhere on the redar of
discussion. It should be (as mentioned before) accesibility and
standardisation.
Afterall, a site may be useable on IE, and totally unusable in FF in which
case we have an accessability issue which directly relates to whether the
site is using standard w3c coding. the field based sales person trying to
access a web based sales application from a laptop in the middle of a
field is probably as brain dead as the person who would design such a
system in which case neither of them are of much use so we might as well
fire them from the topic.
