Thank you Tony, Ant, Ian, Alex T - very useful.=20
What a pity they appear to be going down the short-term greed route. =
They
are discontinuing the free version (announcement on 21st Sept) and have =
set
*minimum* pricing at $199 plus $99/yr (closed source!). They were
considering until recently charging $2k + $0.5k/year for the unlimited =
user
version!!
Why can't these people learn from hugely successful OSS projects like
DotNetNuke (which we use extensively). We, for one, steer clear of
closed-source web apps, as they can't be customised / fixed if support =
is
discontinued.
Sounds like the fork suggested by Ant (http://projectpier.org/) may be =
worth
checking out, as presumably based on the last release activeCollab =
source.
Cheers, Ben
