RE: FN-FORUM: Virgin Media and email domains
date posted 9th November 2007 22:04
I'm with Virgin Media and I can send email through my outlook using
either my domain smpt or through their outgoing smtp and I don't have to
use any Virgin username or password.
If the NTL one doesn't work try the blueyonder one smtp.blueyonder.co.uk

I've been using NTL (virgin media) for years and I've always been able
to
send emails using my own domain.
Try setting outgoing mailserver to smtp.ntlworld.com

Subject: FN-FORUM: VirginMedia and email domains
Hi,
I've a client that can't send email from Outlook using VirginMedia as
their
ISP using their own domain name. Virgin reckon they don't allow the
addition
of domains to their email relay. Even BT allow this. Does anyone have
any
advice or experience with this ISP to get around it. Are we asking the
right
question or are they angling for an account upgrade that they're not
telling
us about?
Best regards
Craig
