Hi All.

Thought I would share some good news with regard to IR35 and tax
investigations.

I have just been given a clear bill of health from the IR. They've
tried their damnedest to syphon my companies funds, but have today
written confirming that they will not be pursuing me. So, that's 7
months of unnecessary grief at the tax payer's expense.

I must recommend to all of you having water-tight contracts and please,
please, please join the PCG! They, along with a very professional tax
consultant from Abbeytax (covered by PCG subscription) have dealt fully
with the taxman and I am sure that in no small way, they have helped to
clear me from the IR and made the result far more quick than I ever
expected - 18 months is the norm apparently.

So from a personal point of view, it is great news. From self-employed
people like all of us on here, it is good news too; another win for the
small business against this unfair tax.

Keep your noses clean, don't take the p' with expenses and get damned
good contracts in place. *FINALLY* join the PCG, or at the very least
look at their website and see if you really think you are safe without
them. Current score on their website is: PCG 1,436 Taxman 4 (make that
PCG 1,437 now) :)
