Hi guys,

Having recently decided to 'go it alone' I am currently trying to build up
my client base. So I thought I'd send an email out to this forum in an
attemp to obtain new business. I am at present sorting out advertising and
redesigning my website in accordance with my new corporate identity. This
will also display more recent work. However if anyone is interested in
viewing my current portfolio then please feel free to ask and I will mail a
PDF containing work samples.

Profile:
34 year old Creative Designer/Artworker based in Warwick, with eight years
experience encompassing design for print and some new media. Projects
include brand design, brochures, catalogue design and artwork, POS,
corporate identity, illustration, logo development and project and studio
management. Worked in both permanent and freelance positions. Ten months
with previous employer in an in-house design department, mainly working on
catalogue design and production. Previously Junior Designer for a small
creative agency, then Creative Designer for a repro house, then five years
working as a freelancer on various types of contracts. These ranged from
catalogue design and management through to the design and co-ordination of
bid submission presentations for a large construction company in the
Midlands. Then as a Project Manager/Designer for a large retailer, mainly
working on catalogue design and production.

I charge Ł30-Ł40 an hour or Ł250 a day depending on the size of the job. I
would ask any interested parties to contact me by mail or phone to discuss
their requirements. If after viewing my portfolio you are still interested
then I would require a full brief from which I can provide an accurate
estimate. If you would like to take things further after receiving the
estimate, then I require a purchase order or an order to commence work by
email.

I will then progress with the project and present concepts on boards or as a
PDF by email. I ask all new clients to pay a proforma before any major work
commences. This would usually be 50% on order (or on presentation of
concepts) then 50% on delivery of artwork.
