FN-FORUM: What's the best way of recruiting a new .Net developer?

Hi all,

We need another developer with a couple of years of experience of developing
.Net web applications with SQL Server database and Javascript knowledge and
the ability to hand-code HTML. We're based at Harwell near Newbury (M4 J13).

I know we could go the agency route but have any of you had any success with
advertising directly for the post in a publication or on monster, etc?

I can't stand recruitment agents and would like to avoid their fees if
possible. Any help much appreciated.
