I'd have to say that is an accurate statement. I've only done a few big
projects in PHP but I spent years running development at a .Net shop and
honestly the PHP does more in fewer lines of code. It's maybe not
totally self-explanatory, but it is more productive.
I would say that you can write more solid code in C# certainly and the
way ASP.net works projects is clean and easy to use, but it's much
slower to develop with than PHP and I would certainly choose the latter
for a quick and dirty job.
