I have it set up so that anything with a score over 4.0 is moved to a =20
spam folder. I never check the contents of that folder. I should =20
probably just send it all to /dev/null.
Anything with a score between 1 and 4 gets moved to a "maybespam" =20
folder. I check this regularly. I find occasional mailings from web =20
sites I'm signed up with and (most annoyingly) mail from the few =20
people I know who use Yahoo! email addresses. But the vast majority of =20
it is spam.
Whoever is telling you that 5.0 is aggressive might be a little out of =20
date. Spamassassin gets better all the time. I'd certainly recommend =20
setting it to 4.

I'd certainly have the confidence to do that. Given that you haven't =20
tried Spamassassin before, I'd recommend just letting it add spam =20
headers to your mail and then using some filtering process (I use =20
procmail) to move marked mail to a spam folder that you can check =20
occasionally until you're confident that Spamassassin works for you.
