First port of call would probably be your MP. However, my guess is
you've been given an interpretation of some legislation rather than
the legislation itself.
As it is a contractor friend of mine has just had to leave an
umbrella set up and form his own Ltd. for tax reasons.
It's likely you've been fed a load of cobblers. Who told you this?
