RE: FN-FORUM: Legal gubbins you need to follos when employing contractors

True indeed, but giving back money is a pointless and in my opinion =
costly
exercise. As I said before any compensation would mean cut backs =
elsewhere
or an increase in taxation to make up for the deficit. So im not sure =
what
else can be done to attone for the errors.
In terms of the tax man being evil, he/she are only doing their jobs. If
they weren=92t so strick many many people simply wouldn=92t pay-up. =
Would you
really see it fit for some people to not pay their taxes whilst still
reaping the benefits of the taxation system ie NHS, Fire Service etc =
etc?
Whilst im sure the taxman can seem harsh at times perhaps, I cant see =
how
they can have one set of rules for one person and another set for =
someone
else. Thus they have to be strict inorder to get the money that keeps =
our
country running at a high level.
Anyway, this all far too political for a freelancers forum. Im sure the
others would prefer it if we argued it out in a Politics forum. ;-)

Try not paying your tax on time and apologising, see if they let you =
off.
