FN-FORUM: Email subjects

Today I was greeted with an email whose subject line reads, in full:

> RE: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: FN-FORUM: Re: RE: FN-FORUM: normalisation for classes???

That's 11 repetitions of "Re: FN-FORUM". Is this supposed to happen?
Couldn't something be done about it? Or was someone taking the piss
and I missed the joke...?

(To add insult to injury, the body of the text consisted of one
original line. Which was shorter than the redundancy in the subject
line.)
