I can't think of a solution, but I'd suggest not having it bottom-aligned -
because for pages with not much content above it, and especially on a
high-resolution screen, you're going to have a lot of blank space between
that and the content. Why not just have it below the main content, with
white space beneath?
Alternatively, you could always use a table ;)
