I couldn't agree more. Use 123-reg to buy the domains, and host them
elsewhere - we use Pipeten for smaller stuff, but also Plugsocket.
Anything really critical goes on our own servers in Docklands.
On reflection, it doesn't really matter where you buy the domains from
(123-reg, 1&1, godaddy, etc), but you should seriously consider where
you have them hosted. Changing name servers is a must, too.
