FN-FORUM: Includes PHP question
date posted 25th January 2008 12:17
Hello there
I am trying to expand my knowledge of web technologies, getting the hang of
css and a couple of other things
My next challenge is to build some sites with a custom template in Joomla -
so if anyone has some good sites for learning this - great - preferably
video tutorials like lynda.com ?
Anyhoo - the question is 'includes PHP' which I was reading up on, so rathe=
r
than having a menu on each page that needs to be edited, you can simply hav=
e
one menu.php page and use the PHP includes command to include it In a
placeholder on your pages, so cutting down your editing time
In the above example - doesn=B9t this have obvious SEO consequences as google
will not be able to detect the links in the menu ?
Do you(s) use this technology regularly or discard it for the above reason =
?
Cheers
john
