FN-FORUM: OsCommerce vs CRELoaded

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advise regarding open
source e-commerce solutions. I'm looking to develop an online bookstore for
a client, and am debating between OsCommerce and CRELoaded as the best way
to go.. does anyone have any experience with the two or suggestions which
would be best, or a better alternative please?

Any advice would be much appreciated.. CRE looked like it had a richer
feature list, but requires register_globals to be on (or off.. can't
remember off the top of my head, but the less secure setting that most
decent hosts don't use these days).. This is putting me off using it, and I
want to try and make an informed decision before beginning modding templates
and finding a host that the software can run on.
