I'm not suggesting that you try this Lee but it always works for me.

If I get sick with cold-related infections I take 1 Berocca and 1 gram
of Vitamin C in the morning, and 10mg Chelated Zinc with 1 gram of
Vitamin C in the evening. If the infection is on my chest take I
Echinacea too. I usually have mild symptoms for 2 or 3 days and after
that I'm ok. Been doing this for years and I never get too sick to work!
