fertility.

She is identified with the dark goddess of death and life and blood,
dark girly things, Like laughing at blokes in the loo at a nightclub.

Shakespeare has the thee witches calling on her in the Scottish Play,
She is an aspect of the Dark Goddess, the forbidden knowledge.

In Christian terms she is the evil witch.

Why is this more acceptable than

a word which is defined as all sorts of things, from the smallest
possible amount as in "I don't give a *", with all sorts of words, as in
* ed broken, * surprised, * a physical act of love/procreation, etc etc.

OK I'm being silly,

but it is Saturday night
and these things worry me (on an intellectual level)
