As you say, you can spend ages coming up with a ball park only to find
the client can't afford it.

Well the only legal matters could have been if the client has paid for
bespoke coding and then I used that elsewhere, I suppose, but I couldn't
see what leg they had to stand on when their developer...

Do what I do and stick some extraneous code somewhere amongst all the

The icons are certainly ripped, yes they are stock but I've mod'ed them

They haven't ripped any icons, they are stock that anyone can purchase.
