Whatever, you think of IE - most of your users will probably view your web
site with it, and on a Windows platform.
They won't understand why it doesn't work and will just think that it's
badly designed/built.
Get hold of an old cheap PC with Windows, install IE8 beta (which can
emulate IE7), add MS Virtual PC (free) or VMWare and install another version
of Windows with IE6. If you upgrade to an Intel Mac you should be able to
run VMWare and then Windows on that.
Also, remember IE5 on Mac is not the same as the Windows version and may
render differently. IE8 beta, as I said is fully standards compliant.
