Sounds like an interesting agenda. When and where might this be?

Yet another business related question came up by young James a few days ago.
This, and a telephone chat with a WAUK member today, leads to suggesting an
idea I've had for a while to offer a small "seminar" - if there's enough
interest.
I have a number of Chinese postgraduate students come to my home throughout
the year. I provide the extra tuition, review and English language feedback
they need to succeed. Free, of course. So I have the structure and will to
assist.
What I have in mind is a weekend where people arrive Friday late afternoon
for a 1-2 hour evening session. Then a full Saturday followed by Sunday
morning. Travel home on Sunday afternoon.
Proposed subjects? Personal aims and forecast; business reappraisal and
structure; cash flow forecasting; business plan; defining a marketing plan;
marketing and sales (getting business); shop window (to have a portfolio
website or not); VAB (value added business); future planning; time flow
management and funding. Provided? Templates for CFF, business plan,
marketing plan and other resources. Outcome? Tailored business outlook and
income schedules for each attendee. I may put more together - depending on
feedback and "wish list" for the time available.
Folk are welcome to stay in my home or get a B&B. Sleeping bags will be
required if too many. I think five attendees would be a suitable number.
If this is a runner it would afford the opportunity for some useful time out
of daily working life. Perhaps some positive readjustment too. Oh, and an
excuse for a beer.
To be clear - I won't charge any fee and there's no hidden agenda.
Comments? (Be kind!)
Mike A.
