Well, we've moved from Apache 1.3 to Apache 2.2, and Google has done the
odd improvement.
Anyway, my Google webmaster tools say that my sites that serve .php
without the extension using MultiViews are being crawled without problem.
There are no "406" responses in my logs either, so all seems to be fixed
now.
Odd that I can't find any mention that this has been fixed. My server
seems to be set up so Google won't find its pages, because of this old
problem, but in fact Google is finding the pages quite happily. I guess
Google has made its bot more web-browser-like, as I never had this problem
with a web browser.
Cheers!
Anthony
