Depends what kind of site it's for really.

On one hand, why advertise another site?

On the other hand, would posting to these sites guarantee any kind of
extra traffic, Bob, his dog and his dog's 12 cousins all post to
'socials'. Will yours just get lost in the traffic like everyone else's?

On the other hand, what have you got to lose form having the icons on
your site?

On the other hand, if marketed right it could be beneficial

I've just turned into half an octopus!
