Hi Dom,
Thanks for this - I knew I was doing something wrong! I have checked the
index.php and login.php file against copies I hold for a test site, where
login works OK. Both were absolutely identic...

Hi Lee,
Okay....I'm confused now, as each time I go into a test site I set up on my
own PC, the admin part is password protected. Yet, when I upload files
online - it loses that password protection?...

I think the problem is that they have purchased a cert from Go Daddy

As far as I know OSC doesn't come 'out-of-the-box' with password
protected Admin.
You will have to implement your own.
I might be wrong but each time I've used it I have always coded my own
login....
